The Problem with Pixie Dust


“If your mommy sprinkles you with Pixie Dust, you turn into a Pixie. You get to be little and fly around and be magic, but you can’t ever come back! ‘Cause they don’t have people-suits in Fairyland! And, and none of the shops at the SkyMall carry People Dust!”

As the “four and a half-” year old explained it, although, not quite so concisely.

There are even worse problems with People Dust. Almost all people-suit operators fail to learn how to operate and care for their people-suits properly. If you don’t follow the instructions and do the required maintenance, the warranty is void.

Let’s review the care and operation of people-suits. We’re going to do both a Peter Pan suit, and a Wendy suit. Start out with whichever suit suits you. We’ll take notice of differences when it’s necessary.

We’ll start with the stuff that’s common to both models. Think of yourself as the people-suit operator, and think of the people-suit as the remote presence device or robot warrior.1

So, let’s lock into the control port, check out the eye window status, work through the pre-wakeup check lists, and get ready to power-up the people-suits.


  1. Every child experiences moments of separation of the mind and body, where the mind is inside a giant people-suit looking out the windows of the eyes. The child’s mind is trying to understand how to make the people-suit “fit in” so that the others won’t discover that the child is an imposter, just a mind in a people-suit, and not a real person. Part of fitting in is imitation or protective coloration. This is how the mind learns the patterns — by trying to hide inside a people-suit and convince others that it is a real person.

The First Thing to Notice


The first thing to notice is that all people-suits have manufacturing variations — no two are identical.1 Each aspect of sensation, motion, and thought is subject to the unit normal distribution — 70% of the people-suits are “average” in any aspect, 15% are better than average on that aspect, and 15% are worse than average on that aspect.

The first thing you need to do is determine the particular characteristics of your people-suit. Then you know what to do and what to avoid.2


  1. Not even identical twins.
  2. Assuming, of course, that you’re not wearing a stupid people-suit.

Stick Out Your Tongue


People are born liking sweet tastes because sugars are necessary for energy and growth. People are born disliking bitter tastes as a protection against eating poisonous plants. Most scientists generally agree that there are five primary taste qualities:

  1. Sweet — organic molecules — sugars, alcohols, plant derived things that are usually safe to eat.
  2. Bitter —organic molecules — often poisonous, plant derived things that are usually not safe to eat.
  3. Sour — acid — plant derived things that are unripe and may not be ready to eat. Spoiled things that are not safe to eat. Big tummy-ache — but not usually fatal.
  4. Salty — necessary chemicals (sodium, potassium, and chloride) usually found in minerals. Sensitivity changes when the body needs more or less.
  5. Umani — the taste of a range of proteins (glutamates) present in a variety of foods, but particularly meat, seafood, and cheese. (Parmesan cheese has a very distinctive umami taste.) Because glutamic acid is the most abundant amino acid in animal protein, umami perception is probably an animal-protein detector.

Under the theory that tastes guide people toward healthy food choices, bitter and sour help people avoid dangerous substances, sweet, salty, and umani, attract people to sources of needed energy, minerals, and proteins.

Taste buds are also sensitive to fats. Taste buds do not react to any “taste” of fat, but they do react to its touch. Fat molecules press against the taste buds producing a tactile sensation that is interpreted as viscous, slippery or greasy. People are born liking the consistency of fat and disliking the consistencies that are dry, abrasive, and tasteless.

Fats have another characteristic — they dissolve certain molecules (such as odors and vitamins) that won’t dissolve in water. Water carries sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umani to the taste buds. Fats carry vitamins to the stomach and odors to smell receptors in the back of the nose. People like the “taste” of fat because it feels good and smells good.

Now once upon a time, in a more natural world with more natural diets, it wasn’t possible to get excessive amounts of sweets, salt, umani, and/or fat.

Capitalists and food technologists have looked at this data and determined that they can make money by selling foods or snacks that are sweet and fatty, salty and fatty, umani and fatty, or any combination of sweet, salty, and umani with or without fat. Thus, capitalistic societies sell sweetened water drinks (with and without carbonation and/or natural or artificial flavors) at a profit of over 90% and we have things like sugar and fat candy bars (with lots of whipped-in air) that are “the Official Snack Food of the Olympic Games.”

What’s the problem? The problem is that too much sugar and fat makes the people-suit get very heavy. The weight, in turn, makes the people-suit difficult to move. The combination of high sugar and too little movement causes diabetes. The combination of high fat and too little movement causes clogged arteries and heart failure.

Because most capitalists are sociopathic,1 and most food technologists are sociopathic,2 both totally ignore the fact that these valueless foods do nothing except cause people to die sooner.

Once upon a time,
before the age of AIDS,
a very glazed donut and her crème-filled éclair friend
extolled the praises of the swinging lifestyle.
They went to sex parties every weekend
where they swapped sexual partners.
They repeated their mantra over and over again:
“You don’t have to do anything
you don’t want to do.
You don’t have to do anything with anybody
you don’t want to do it with.”
They claimed to be “open minded”
about sex.

So Rodney and Torus went along to see what it was all about and to try it out. They couldn’t believe it! The swingers certainly weren’t open minded about anything other than sex, and their idea of being open minded about sex was to do everything possible, whether you liked it or not, just to prove you were open minded.1 The saddest thing of all was that they weren’t very good at sex! They were too busy trying all the conventional ways to be different, plus one unconventional way. They were so self-absorbed, that they didn’t pay any attention to their partners. They might just as well have been at home playing with their plastic sex toys.2

An orgasm is a self-sustaining feedback loop from tactile (touch) directly to motile (movement) that increases in intensity until the people-suit goes into rhythmical mechanical spasm. The rhythmic mechanical spasming generates rhythmic waves of electricity in the brain. The rhythmic waves of electricity in the brain overwhelm the mind and shut off (or mask) all real-time sensory input except sensation that is in synchronization. The synchronized mind suspends reality and lives in timeless fantasy. Whatever fantasy the mind holds at the instant of orgasm becomes perceived reality for the duration of the suspension. The duration of the synchronous brain wave activity is limited by the exhaustion of the body’s ability to maintain spasm.

You would think that people who see themselves as sexual free-thinkers would be free enough to figure out that they might be able to have bigger, better, longer orgasms if they worked together with a partner.3 But, that would mean being constructive and cooperative rather than greedy.

An interesting thing about the skin — its more sensitive areas can tell what another whole people-suit is doing with just a single patch of touch contact. When both people-suits have learned to move their whole bodies and minds together, a single (or dual) patch of touch contact can create a self-reinforcing feedback loop for both. But, you have to want to listen before you can begin to hear.

Now once upon a time, in a more natural world with more primitive conditions, it wasn’t possible to spare enough time from making a living to be forever adolescent. At some point, everyone had to get beyond spending their whole life chasing after orgasms or they starved, or got eaten, or got bashed, and couldn’t chase after orgasms. Now we have sex in advertising, sex in art, sex in marketing, sex in entertainment,4 and we wonder why we have sexual addiction? We shouldn’t wonder — it’s because we have the time and the testosterone. We no longer have to spend all of our time working just to stay alive.

Capitalists and pornographers have looked at this data and determined that they can make money by selling sex. This is more effective from a marketing point of view if they can establish a “brand” or product identity, and if they can addict you to their brand.

What’s the problem? There are two:

  1. If you spend your whole life chasing after orgasms, you won’t have time for anything else. You’ll also be very predictable to the capitalists who want to sell you bigger, better, and more beautiful sex. Of course, if you’re addicted/predictable, they either know how to get your money, or they know how to get control of your money.
  2. The description so far only includes one of the two major skin sensations: pleasure. We haven’t talked about the second major aspect of skin sensation: pain.

  1. So some had sex with people they wouldn’t associate with in public. Open-minded?
  2. Of course, some of them preferred to play with their plastic sex toys in public.
  3. Works poorly without a partner unless you are an Ouborous and can bite your own tail. Works poorly with more than one partner simultaneously — the dissonances among multiple interfaces introduces jitter in the coital signal timing that prevents effective synchronization. The oscillations tend to dissipate rather than build.
  4. Not to mention a marvelously imaginative collection of entertaining sexual toys, sexual devices, sexual appliances, and sexual accessories.

Now Feel This (Part 2)


Capitalists and pornographers have looked at this data and determined that they can make money by selling pain, violence (cause of pain), and fear (anticipation of pain). This is more effective from a marketing point of view if they can establish a “brand” or product identity, and if they can addict you to their brand. In the watered-down mass-market version, this is called “Adventure.”

Because most capitalists are sociopathic,1 and most pornographers are sociopathic,2 both want you to totally ignore the fact that the open display of the pornography of pain, violence, and fear creates as much addiction, and far more damage to the community, than the hidden pornography of recreational sex. Capitalists don’t care why you buy their products, only that you can be addicted to buying their products. The pornography of pain, violence, and fear is handy when competing ideologies or competing politicians need armies for their wars. The pornography of pain, violence, and fear is handy when competing charities and charlatans come begging for your money.

So why is society structured to allow the open display of pain, violence, and fear, and hide recreational sexual entertainment? Because economically, it works better that way.

Most people don’t like pain, violence, and fear, but are fascinated by it. The capitalists have to give away a lot of free product before the population grows addicted to it. For addiction, the fascination has to overtake the aversion. (It doesn’t hurt you to watch!) If pain, violence, and fear were hidden, there would be much less addiction. If pain, violence, and fear were hidden, it would be bad for business and bad for politics.

Fear is the most potent sales argument to get you to buy (or buy into) anything. The idea is to make you afraid of what will happen if you don’t buy the product or idea and — act now! Before it’s too late!

It’s how they sell you medicine for acne pimples — by making you afraid of rejection.

It’s how they sell you drugs — by making you afraid of feeling bad.

It’s how they sell you war — by making you afraid of the enemy.

It’s how they sell you salvation — by making you afraid for your soul.

Fear is the best argument to make you go to war.

It's Getting Boring!


Most people like sexual entertainment, but get rapidly bored by repetition. The availability of an unlimited supply of sexual entertainments usually results in a refinement of desire, or an addiction to an increasingly specific fetish. If the industry was more open, there would be too much refinement, that is, the fetishes would become too narrow. The industry’s stereotype entertainments would need more categories. That would reduce profit on prescripted fantasy lines, and raise prices on custom entertainments.

The sex industry is like a repertory theatre: it has a limited number of stereotyped, high-volume fantasy entertainments that include the pornography industry, the travel industry, the resort industry, the hospitality (hotel) industry, the gambling industry, the luxury industry, and the prostitution industry, none of whom want it broadcast that they use sexual pornography to entice you.

Beyond the stereotyped sex industry entertainments, the mixture of sex entertainment with the pornography of pain, violence, and fear can result in very dangerous mixed fetishes. People who dive head first into mixed fetishes may have to go live it out somehow (which includes child molesters, rapists and serial killers). Mixing sex with pain is not a good idea. Don't do it.

The pornography of pain, violence, and fear all by itself will make you even crazier. The pornography of pain, violence, and fear creates mass murderers instead of serial killers. Adolph Hitler falls into this category.

And boy, is the pornography of pain, violence, and fear ever profitable. Mass murderers kill thousands or millions of people at a time, and create huge profits for the entire security, defense, and machineries of war industries. Serial killers and child molesters are far less profitable, killing only a few people over a period of time, and generating a small amount of income for the law enforcement industry and the news reporting industry.

So we keep the pornography of pain, violence, and fear in the open and hide the sexual entertainments. It’s better for business that way.

  1. WAGGGs.

The Sound of Music


The people-suit audio sensor array has some very strange capabilities for passive SONAR. If you have a complicated home theatre sound system, play with the dial marked “Ambience.” It will make the music sound like it is being played in a small, intimate club, in an anechoic concert hall, in a giant stadium, in a palace or cathedral, or even right inside your head.1 The complex shape of your exterior ear shells and your interior ear canals tracks 3-dimensional spatial position in a sphere all the way around you. It also tracks echoes, phase delays and distortions, dropouts, reinforcements, interference patterns, and dead spots. A complicated sound system can reproduce the information that is reflected, absorbed, and amplified by natural surroundings so that you can’t tell the difference. This is the basis of your passive SONAR — you can tell what is around you by its total sound picture.

The unit normal distribution applies as far as capability goes, but almost no one except the blind have actually learned to see using passive SONAR. Most sighted people think being aware of things around you is a sixth sense.2 You can learn to translate the sounds into a visual image inside your mind.

Rhythmic sounds are associated with moving things — deep rhythmic sounds with large, slow-moving things, high-pitched sounds with small fast things. The pitch of the sound tells you what size animal is moving. The rhythm of the sound tells you how fast it’s moving. The loudness of the sound tells you how close it is.

If the pitch and the rhythm you hear just happens to be close to the pitch and the rhythm your own species makes during some activity, you want to move with it. How you want to move depends on what the particular rhythm means to your species.

So in the end, it all comes down to the music of love, mostly in 2/4 time or in 4/4 time and the movement of the hips.

People-suits are attuned to the rhythms of coitus. When we hear coital rhythms at the right speeds, (or Latin music) we want to move our hips! Add a bass line and a melody, and it’s irresistible. Vary the tempo and it speeds up to orgasmic. It’s all a question of how we want to move. Sometimes marches, sometimes disco, sometimes rock ‘n’ roll, sometimes slow-dances. All of them with a push and pull rhythm. Classical, Jazz, New Age, Ballroom, Rock, Latin, Hip-Hop, Jungle, Trance, Techno, Gospel3,4 — all have rhythms to put you in a sexual trance — or a military trance — or a religious trance — when done with slightly different pitches and rhythms, and with presumably innocent intent.

Does that suggest an opportunity for a capitalistic adventure? Would a music publishing company commission music and performers to get as close to fantasy coitus as possible before offending actual buyers?5 Would that music publishing company try to find a way to stop you from listening to your sex-music unless you pay each and every time you listen? Would that music company join with other music companies and bribe governments to make laws that let them “rent” music to you, pay-per-listen, forever? Of course, it’s not just the music companies; it’s all of the entertainment industry. They’ve found a way to profit by manipulating your people-suit.

Capitalists and producers have looked at this data and determined that they can make money by selling pseudo-sex and sexual aids. This is more effective from a marketing point of view if they can establish a “brand” or product identity, and if they can addict you to their brand.

Politicians and producers have looked at this data and determined that they can raise armies and make money at the same time by selling patriotic music. This is more effective from a marketing point of view if they can establish a “brand” or product identity, and if they can addict you to their brand.

Preachers and producers have looked at this data and determined that they can sell god and make money at the same time by selling religious music. This is more effective from a marketing point of view if they can establish a “brand” or product identity, and if they can addict you to their brand.

Because most capitalists are sociopathic,6 and most politicians are sociopathic,7 and most preachers are sociopathic,8 and most producers are sociopathic,9 they all want you to love their product. Capitalists and politicians don’t care why you buy their products, only that you can be addicted to buying their products. Preachers don’t care why you buy their products, only that you don’t buy anybody else’s products. Producers want to feel that they have created “art” and therefore, their cock is bigger than your cock, and therefore they can charge the capitalists, politicians, and preachers higher stud fees for the sequel.

Do I need to go on, or do you have the idea?

You’ll need the WAV version, not the MP3 version. Some compression algorithms lose too much information to maintain the effect.

  9. They are just telling a story with their work that is a document of the thinking of the time as evidenced by its commercial value. Most of them neither understand nor care about the effects of their storytelling on society or individuals because they don’t consider themselves responsible for its interpretation. A few of them care very much.
  10. Politicians, preachers, producers, and pornographers are collective known as p-WAGGGs.

Training Your People Suit


Now here are some reasons why you might want to avoid dancing school:

Nowadays at dancing school, you have to learn both to lead and to follow, when to amplify, when to diminish, and how to signal. Feedback loops only work when the circuit is two-way.1

There are a lot worse ways of teaching feedback. Most of them are based on cultural mating rituals that are highly intolerant of their neighbor’s different culture.

Of course, if you prefer war?


  1. Xeno-anthropologists call this “petting behavior in primates.” It teaches the children how to play nice with each other.

I Sing the Body Electrique


So far, we have talked about events, places, and other people in virtual reality, but we haven’t talked about your personal avatar.1 Part of the problem is that you can’t see any more of yourself in virtual reality than you can in consensual reality. If you are an “actor” (as opposed to a “camera”), you can see your arms, legs, and front, but not your face or back without using a mirror in your imagination. Just like in real life, your sense of yourself is tactile and kinematic.2 You feel your body most of the time instead of seeing it.

To be fully present in virtual reality, you have to allow yourself to feel your body. This specifically means that you will have feelings. The body and the mind aren’t really separate — and they aren’t really the same either. The body and the mind are mirrors of each other. Allowing the body to feel also allows the mind to have feelings. What this means is:

You lock yourself out of the pain
by locking yourself out of your body.
Locking yourself out of your body
locks you out of your mind.
You shut down feelings
by shutting down the ability to feel.
It also makes it difficult to have good orgasms.


  1. Animated representation or symbol. The “embodiment” of yourself in virtual reality.
  2. Touch and movement.

Explorations


With your eyes open, look down at as much of your body as you can see. This body that exists in consensual reality is the body materiel. Touch it and see what it feels like — to both touch and be touched. Compare the touch sensation in your hands with the touch sensation in the part of your body that you are touching. Put on gloves to limit the touch sensations in your hands and do it again. That will help you become familiar with being touched.

Close your eyes and feel the boundaries of your body defined by your skin. If you don’t sense your body at first, tense your muscles slightly all over and you will feel where your body is. This is the body that exists in virtual reality. This is the body electrique. Imagine your entire skin lit up in golden-green electrical sparks. Now let the effervescent sparking fade a little until it just gently reminds you of its presence. This is the body electrique. It is an electric “shell” that is “touch-connected” to your body.

Eventually, you will discover that your body electrique doesn’t look exactly like you. It’s appearance usually moves towards how you see yourself, or how you want to see yourself, or how you’re afraid you look, as opposed to how you do look — all translated into the sense of touch — the self-awareness of your body.

And how you look to yourself may be a big surprise!

Who’s That in the Mirror There?


You may want to use your mind’s eye to reshape the body electrique, and attempt to bring its new shape back into reality.1 To make fantasy into reality, you have to start with an accurate image of reality. Then you have to employ a paradigm shift — you have to look at yourself from a new direction that has an alterable probability connection to reality. There has to be a process that leads from here to there.2 This is the basic creative process — to dream a slow, step-by-step change in yourself, or a slow, step-by-step change in your lifestyle — and then to attempt to bring that dream back to reality by altering local probability.3,4

And sometimes, you meet (or become) your Anima or Animus — sort of the person you would be if you were the “opposite” sex without changing your sexually-biased thoughts or adjusting your personality — the person that you think you would find most attractive.

Carl Jung had a wonderful time with this. Carl Jung understood the Mirror. It works like this:

However, Carl Jung lived in an earlier, simpler era. Just look at the early Internet (or the phone sex industry) to see people masquerading as the opposite sex, or a different sex, or a different age, or a different and exotic species of alien.

So if you run into your Anima or Animus you’ll have to just recognize it as the person you would be if you were the “opposite” sex without changing your sexually-biased thoughts or adjusting your personality — the person that you think you would find most attractive. Worry about what sex It is when you figure out what sex You are.5,6

Your Shadow is all the things you aren’t. All the things you have chosen not to be, and not to do, wisely or not. It is a fearsome place for it represents the eerie junkyard of your discarded choices. The purpose of visiting your Shadow is to reclaim valuable lost pieces of yourself — like the bathwater that was thrown out with the baby.

Beware the Seal of Solomon.


  1. This is a lot trickier than it sounds. You can’t change something until you have a pretty accurate idea what it will feel like changed. Then you use the “act as if” principle to bring it into being by imitating the whole gestalt change, observing what’s not right, and refining the gestalt. You can’t get just a piece — you have to get the whole gestalt. Your success depends on how good an observer you are.
  2. Some dreams are deliberately out of reach. Impossibility removes the necessity to achieve or even attempt.
  3. If the probability connection to reality is too thin, the attempt fails.
  4. Unfortunately, dreaming changes in other people doesn’t work. You can’t change anybody but yourself. Dreams requiring other people to change are out of reach. This appears to be more a function of ignorance or wish fulfillment rather than an attempt to alter reality.
  5. I have no idea how this may apply to someone inter-sexed, or with an unusual sexual orientation.
  6. Sometimes it is easier to figure out what sex It is and then work backwards to what sex you are.

Empathy by Imitation.


One of the easiest ways of getting to know the body electrique is to study the relationship between the body and the mind. Try this experiment:

  1. Smile. Smile not only with the corners of your mouth, but also with the corners of your eyes and your shoulders. Straighten up a little bit as you smile. This will make most people feel better or happier.1
  2. Now frown. Frown not only with the corners of your mouth, but also with the corners of your eyes and your shoulders. Slump down a little bit as you frown. This will make most feel really rotten and want to cry.2
  3. Now smile again and frown again until you understand that there is a relationship between the physical state of the body and the emotional state of the mind.

Want to know how somebody feels? Imitate them physically, and you’ll feel the same way. Empathy is looking at somebody and understanding how they feel from the total gestalt — the posture, the muscle-tone, the voice stress, the choice of clothing — everything you can see, hear, smell, taste, touch, or intuit.

This is how the hidden advertising is accomplished. You’re always aware of it at some level. Unless you’ve been specially trained, you don’t notice it consciously, and you don’t know how to describe what you see if you do notice it. You can use the ROTA Keys to verbalize it.

Okay, Let’s Power-Up the People-Suit


Now that we’ve looked at the input sensor arrays, let’s look at the motor-effector arrays.

Getting Centered/Balancing


Before you can move easily, you need to become centered. This is the physical equivalent of grounding. If you have taken “Correction” class in Taijiquan, You have heard the instructor say: “Put your feet about shoulder-width apart. Bend your knees and let your weight settle in your hips. It’s like hanging from a string that goes through the top of your head. Relax your shoulders. The top of your body is weightless, while your feet are very heavy and hold you easily in place.”

The curious thing is that it is like hanging from a string that goes through the top of your head. When you hang, your shoulders relax, and your back is straight. Keeping your back straight at the same time you are bending your knees makes you tuck your butt in instead of sticking it out. (Bending your knees is easier with your butt stuck out, but it makes your back slope. Tucking your butt in places takes tension out of your back muscles and puts additional tension into your hips, thighs, and ankles.) This makes you more aware of your lower body. The complete relaxation of the muscles in your back (since you’re hanging by a string and your back is straight) makes your upper body feel light (because of lack of tension) while your lower body gets heavier (because the tension is more noticeable).

Then, as you balance your body,1 let the tension flow out of the bottom of your feet, until you are both centered and grounded.

Imagine that air is a thick fluid like water.

makes you aware of the position,
balance,
and extent
of your body.
As you become more aware
of your body materiel,
you will be more aware
of your body electrique.

Taijiquan –
by moving slowly,
there is time to observe.

there is time to practice.

there is time to memorize
and move the mind
from the how-to-do
to the what-to-do.

The mind is the same way.
By learning slowly,
there is time to observe.
By learning repetitively,
there is time to practice
and bring refinement to your thinking.

By practicing,
we keep alive that in which we believe.
When we give up rituals of the mind,
we allow the clockwork of the imagination
to rust.

Because Taijiquan is a combat art, the mind learns to scan its surroundings at the same time as it learns to give what-to-do orders to the body. This has an unfortunate commercial side effect: it teaches the mind to ignore the feints and distractions and look for the reality; it teaches the mind to ignore the commercials. It works the same way that a police training firing range works: Some of the pop-up targets are threats, and some of them are civilian distractions. You have to decide which is which before you shoot the good guy instead of the bad guy. Under the circumstances, you don’t have time to listen to commercials.


  1. When you are balanced, or centered, a weighted string at your center of gravity in the middle of your chest (your heart) will stay inside the base formed by connecting your toes with a line, your heels with a line, and your feet as the sides. The closer the weighted end of the string is to the center of the base, the less effort it takes to keep in balance. If the weighted end of the string gets outside the base, you fall over.

Locomotion


Once you’re centered, movement is easy. To move just your upper body, twist at the waist and move your arms and shoulders. Maintain balance by keeping up to 70% of your weight on one leg and 30% on the other leg. To move your whole body, shift 90% of your weight to the right leg with only 10% remaining on the left leg. Lift the left foot and move it. Then, progressively shift your weight until 90% is on the left leg, and only 10% is on the right leg. Do the same thing with the right leg, and you’re walking. But, you’re in balance, or centered, or grounded while you’re walking.

To go faster, use each knee as a bending spring. Push your weight into the forward leg and use 90% of your weight to cock the spring of the knee before you move the rearward leg. As the rearward leg comes around in front, release the energy stored in the bent knee to push off. Then absorb the weight in the new forward leg to cock that knee for the next step.

As you practice the Correction class,1 you learn to maintain your balance at all times. A side effect is that you’ll stay flexible and won’t fall down as much when you get older.


  1. Yang Short Form and Chen Long Form seem to be the most highly recommended. Tai Chi for Seniors is mainly exercise and balance for the physically frail.

Hand-to-Hand Exercises


After the Correction class, Taijiquan combat lessons start with “Push Hands,” or unarmed combat, proceed to “Short Knife” and “Long Knife,” and to other wonderful topics. However, there are other hand-to-hand exercises that teach feedback. I call them “dancing lessons.” While you can do them alone, they work better with a partner.

Push Hands

The object of this exercise is to communicate two-way feedback through pressure alone.

  1. Agree who will “lead” initially.
  2. Put your hand against your partner’s hand. Don’t press hard, just barely touch without pressure. Then slowly increase to a light pressure.
  3. The “leader” pushes slightly harder to indicate that the “follower” should back up. The “follower” backs up as long as the pressure remains higher than the initial level.
  4. The “leader” indicates that the follower should stop by letting off the pressure (back to the initial level).
  5. The “leader” moves away, lowering the push below the initial level to indicate that the “follower” should come forward.
  6. The speed of the movement (backwards or forwards) is indicated by the amount of pressure — the more pressure, the faster the follower should move backwards, the less pressure, the faster the follower should move forwards.
  7. The leader and the follower also communicate by countermanding the instructions — the follower pushes back harder instead of moving back or the leader stops at the initial level and waits for the follower to lead.
  8. It gets interesting when both push or both withdraw. In this case, the pressure indicates how fast and how hard the partners move together and how fast and how far they move apart.

It’s very much like dancing — except that the leader and follower swap places. Both have to learn to “listen” with the sense of touch. Both have to learn to “speak” with body movements.

You start with near-to-far pressure and movement (Y translation). When you add side-to-side twist (yaw), fore-and-back twist (pitch), elbow-swinging twist (roll), left-to-right movement (X translation), and up-and-down movement (Z translation), you have six-degrees of freedom to communicate. When you move your whole body instead of just your hand, six degrees of freedom is enough to tell your partner exactly where your body is and what it’s doing. Similarly, you will know exactly where your partner’s body is and what it’s doing. If you close your eyes, you can visualize both your own body electrique and your partner’s body electrique based on your sense of touch.

In dancing, you usually hang on to your partner’s hand so that you don’t accidentally get separated when you move away from each other.

Slide Hands

Letting your hand slide against your partner’s hand instead of moving together multiplies the entire effect.1 Sliding signals: amplify or diminish. There are several signals indicating by sliding:

The lead is exchanged by the slight timing difference between the first mover and the following responder.

If you are listening to music, you can anticipate the movement and get very closely synchronized.

The problem is that no two people react exactly the same way — and even the same person reacts differently at different times. You have to listen, all the time, every time, to successfully communicate. Communication requires your full and undivided attention. The hardest lesson of all, is that before you can learn to hear, you have to want to listen.


  1. Sometimes a little massage oil or lube helps.

Single Contact

Do a little practice. Use one hand.

Dual Contact

Now try it with both hands. Transfer what you receive with one hand to what you send with the other hand. You now have a fully looped, two-way feedback system — receive on one side, amplify or diminish, and then send it back on the other side. If a different pattern feels better, change the rhythm or volume until it feels the best. You can see it in your mind at the same time you feel it — just close your eyes and picture whatever matches your tactile sensations.

Try to be aware of the sensations of both the leader and the follower. When you can see/feel both your own body electrique and your partner’s body electrique in your minds eye, you’re ready to begin the next phase.

Yin and Yang Factors

The Yang factor favors action. Having a specific defined action for each set of circumstances maximizes emergency efficiency. But, having only a predetermined set of actions leaves no room for improvisation to meet unanticipated situations. The system is efficient, but it cannot adapt easily or quickly.

The Yin factor favors reflection and attitude. If you understand what you are trying to accomplish, you can find an action consistent with your objective. The difficulty here lies in surviving to reach the objective. The process takes time for thinking and planning, and by then it may be too late for the action to be effective.

Yang by itself, leads to conflict and rigidity.

Yin by itself, leads to stagnation or decay.

Together, Yin and Yang make Unity.

Think of Yin and Yang on opposite ends of the unit normal distribution — way out beyond four-sigma.

Most of the things you can do with your people suit require you to be nearer the center — some Yin, some Yang — some thought, some action. The farther you go towards Yin or Yang, the more danger you face and the more danger you bring to those around you.

Peter Pan Versus Wendy


Now that you begin to see what marvelous machines these people-suits are, let’s examine the differences between the Peter Pan and the Wendy models.

So, What’s the Difference?


The ovaries inside the woman’s body produce eggs and require constant temperature. The testicles outside a man’s body produce sperm and require a lower temperature. The testicles need less temperature regulation.

Women develop an awareness of the breast area to protect their breasts from hurt. Men develop an awareness of the genital area to protect their genitals from hurt.

Woman’s pelvis is expanded to accommodate the womb. This wider hip placement and longer level-arm cause freer rotation of the pelvis around its joint with the spine. Women (on average) are more supple than men. Men (on average) have a larger frame and more muscle bulk. Men (on average) are stronger than women.

On average, women have a thicker subcutaneous fat layer than men. This provides additional insulation and temperature protection for the inner body, but makes the skin less able to respond to external temperature variations — it keeps women warm and makes them feel cold. The additional padding beneath the skin makes women’s bodies appear smother than men’s, and gives the appearance of a higher level of muscle tone associated with sexual tension.

And of course, there are psychological differences.

The following is an imagination exercise. Do not attempt to perform it in reality; it is not physically possible.

In the exercise, you will transform yourself to the opposite physical sex and back in your imagination to see what it feels like.1 This is an interesting way to see the opposite point of view, experience the physical sensations associated with the opposite sex, and realize that men and women are more similar than different.

Step Male to Female and Back Female to Male and Back
1. Get comfortable and relax your body. First relax your fingers and toes, then your wrists and ankles. Move inward to your forearms, elbows, calves, and knees, relaxing each as you go. Move inward to your thighs and hips, and your arms and shoulders. When your shoulders and hips are relaxed, there can be no tension in your arms or legs. Now relax the muscles in your scalp, your temples, around your eyes, in your cheeks, jaw and lips. Relax the muscles in the side of your neck and the back of your neck. Relax the muscles in your upper back. Relax the muscles in your waist. Relax the muscles in your lower back and buttocks. Get comfortable and relax your body. First relax your fingers and toes, then your wrists and ankles. Move inward to your forearms, elbows, calves, and knees, relaxing each as you go. Move inward to your thighs and hips, and your arms and shoulders. When your shoulders and hips are relaxed, there can be no tension in your arms or legs. Now relax the muscles in your scalp, your temples, around your eyes, in your cheeks, jaw and lips. Relax the muscles in the side of your neck and the back of your neck. 2. Let your awareness flow into your groin. Become aware of your anus, your scrotum and penis. Notice that the temperature of your scrotum and testicles is slightly cooler than that of the rest of your body. Let your awareness flow into your breasts. Become aware of their smooth skin and rough areola. Notice that they feel slightly warmer than the rest of your body so that the cool chill of a breeze hardens your nipples.
3. Allow this feeling of coolness to seep up the front of your body, gradually changing to a feeling of warmth as it reaches your breasts. Become aware that your breasts are slightly warmer than the rest of your body. Let the warmth of your breasts compared to the coolness from below cause your nipples to harden and become sensitive. Tense your shoulders forward a little to protect your breasts, then backwards to thrust them out. Allow this feeling of warmth to seep down the front of your body, gradually changing to a feeling of coolness between your legs. Become aware that the lips of your vagina feel cool.
4. Become aware of a feeling of weakness in your inner thighs. Relax your thighs and let your legs fall open outwards. Leave your buttocks and anus relaxed and let gravity pull your legs outwards. Release your lower back muscles and let your buttocks flatten out. Become aware of a feeling of weakness in your inner thighs. Relax your thighs and let your legs fall open outwards. Leave your buttocks and anus relaxed and let gravity pull your legs outwards. Release your lower back muscles and let your buttocks flatten out.
5. Feel your penis shrinking. Feel it become tiny and limp. Feel your vagina relaxing and opening wide. Become aware of your ovaries inside your body where you sometimes feel them when you ovulate or menstruate. Feel your ovaries moving downward through your body, pushing the womb inside out through the open vagina. Feel the inside out vagina shrink to form a sack on the outside of your body for your testicles.
6. Feel your scrotum contract pulling your testicles inward. Feel your testicles rise inside your body, pulling the inside out scrotum with them until your testicles become ovaries and your scrotum forms a vagina, and after a constriction, a womb. Only small lips remain outside. Feel your clitoris expand into a penis, the hood becoming a foreskin. Feel your penis becoming erect. Feel the tension in your groin.
7. Now feel a weight pressing on your pubic area, squeezing against your clitoris. Allow a penetration of the vagina by fighting the tendency to contract it, and instead allowing it to relax even farther each time it tries to contract. Hold the tension and arch your back and legs, thrusting your penis forwards into a silky wetness that grabs, relaxes, grabs, and relaxes; each time more open to your penetration, until there is no resistance.
8. Release the weight and feel the withdrawal leaving the vagina opened. Relax to meet that relaxation. Allow your penis to become limp. Relax your legs and your back. Relax your pelvis and your anus.
9. If you like, imagine yourself as a woman relating to others, both male and female. To maintain the illusion, keep an awareness of the heat in your breasts, the hardness in your nipples, and the relaxation in your pelvis. If you like, imagine yourself as a man relating to others, both male and female. To maintain he illusion, keep an awareness of the coolness in your scrotum and the tension in your penis as it responds to sexual signals.
10. When you are ready to come back, focus your awareness on the relaxed pelvis and the open vagina. Relax your back and your abdomen, and allow your buttocks to flatten out. Allow your whole pelvic region to go slack. When you are ready to come back, focus your awareness on the weakness in your inner thighs. Relax your legs and let gravity pull them outward. Relax your back and your abdomen, and allow your buttocks to flatten out. Allow your whole pelvic region to go slack.
11. Feel your ovaries flow downward through your body pushing the womb and vagina outwards, forming testicles and scrotum. Feel the penis shrink back into a clitoris in its hood.
12. Feel your clitoris grow until it becomes a penis. Feel your testicles flow upward pulling the scrotum with them until the testicles become ovaries and the scrotum becomes a womb, and after a constriction, a vagina. Only small lips remain outside.
13. Tighten the muscles in your inner thighs and abdomen and become aware of the coolness between your legs. Feel the coolness flow upward over your whole body until you are no longer aware of your breasts, only of the nipples which are tight from the cold. Feel warmth in your whole pubic area that seeps upwards along the front of your body until it reaches your breasts. Become aware that your breasts are slightly warmer than the rest of your body. Feel your nipples harden slightly in the cool air. Tense your shoulders forward a little to protect your breasts, then backwards to thrust them out.
14. Move your head, move your arms, stretch your body to relieve cramps. Move your head, move your arms, stretch your body to relieve cramps.

If you find that a different sequence for the fantasy works better for you, by all means use it.

Men and women are more similar than different.


  1. This exercise is not very accurate, but it is much less complicated than it would be if it were more accurate.

Presence – Playing a Character


A child is aware of both it’s own body electrique, and it’s own body materiel. To a child, they are really one and the same thing. At some point, for most people, the body electrique begins to fade away until only the body materiel remains. What has happened is that the body electrique has stopped looking around itself, because, liked the caged monkey, it is sure the door is locked, and it is safe on the inside. Instead, the body electrique has contracted from a large, unfocused learning machine into a small hard knot of hard-won and fortified and petrified information. This is the Personality Autopilot Program.

Part of the reason for the people-suit exercise, is to make you aware of your body electrique. In the early days, your body electrique was busy operating the people-suit in different ways (as different characters) to see what worked best at getting what the body electrique/body materiel wanted or needed.

Out of all those possible characters it could play, the body electrique eventually chooses one, and allows that character to become the “autopilot personality.” As the majority of the body electrique settles in to auto-pilot personality mode, what remains retreats farther and farther from the concept of “body.” What remains of the body electrique becomes “mind” with certain sections locked off by the autopilot. The problem is, that it not only codifies behavior, but it also locks in the postures of childhood so that we lose touch with our physical bodies. Your history is written in your posture.

This process begins at about three years old. It is the point beyond which children generally cannot remember because they hadn’t yet formed the separation between mind and body. This separation begins when the mind learns to experience time. This separation is the beginning of awareness of time for the individual. This is when the mind becomes 4-dimensional. The newly developed ability to comprehend time as cycles allows planning based on a predicted future.1 Without this, you wouldn’t know that the sun would ever rise again. Because of this, like the mechanical monkey, you assume that the door is still closed and locked.

And the physical body, the body materiel, is running on an autopilot, that was programmed 12 years ago, or 24 years ago, or 36 years ago, or more than that years ago. Those sections of the body that were locked out way back then are still locked out now. The Personality Autopilot Program has never been updated.

Do you suppose that waking up the body electrique would make you younger? Or maybe it just might make you feel younger? Or maybe just give you back the parts of your body that aren’t working right anymore? That’s one of the things Taijiquan or Yoga does for you — it wakes up the body electrique by putting you in touch with the body materiel.

Kegel Exercises for the Body Electrique


The kegel muscles are the ones you squeeze to stop urinating. That’s about the only way to find them and learn to control them. They are not the same muscles that you use to stop defecating — squeezing your butt cheeks is the wrong muscle.

Look at it this way:

So eventually, the idea is to avoid having a "Big O," and have a lot of "Little Os" over a much longer period of time instead. If you can still take more, well a condom or a thin pad will keep you from getting nasty stains on your clothes.


  1. Lift your finger when it gets to the tip and move it back to the back. Peristalsis only travels one direction.
  2. All subject to the unit normal distribution, of course, in both men and women.
  3. The makers of erection drugs will be so disappointed when you discover that you don’t need their products to have fun.

Aerobic and Anaerobic Exercises


The sensitive parts of the body include the hands and fingers, the feet and toes, the tongue and lips, the nipples, the genitals, and the anus.1

The mouth is designed to ingest and start to digest almost anything. It is reasonably well protected — unless there is an open wound or sore on the inside or nearby on the outside. Similarly, the vagina is designed for accommodating the penis, so it is also reasonably well protected and stretches to accommodate penis size. Any open wound or sore on the genitals, inside or outside, cancels out all of the natural protections. An open wound or sore provides a direct route to the bloodstream.

The anus doesn’t stretch when you put something too big into it; it tears. The tears may be too small to see, or temporarily closed over, but they still leave the blood system open to invasion. In addition to solid waste (shit), the large intestine near the anus often contains bacteria or other parasites that are dangerous in the circulatory (blood) system, but not dangerous in the digestive system. Anal sex is an opportunity for dangerous parasites to move from the digestive system to the circulatory system.

There are two kinds of bacteria and parasites: aerobic and anaerobic. Aerobic means that the parasite can live in air — it can travel from person to person through the air or on surfaces touched by one person and then another. Anaerobic means that the parasite cannot live in air — it travels from person to person by body fluids because any other way of traveling would expose it to air and kill it. An anaerobic parasite can be present in the digestive system without causing damage until it gets into the circulatory system by means of anal sex.

Almost all sexually transmitted diseases are anaerobic — otherwise they’d find an easier way to spread. The AIDS virus is anaerobic. The genital herpes virus is anaerobic.

In gorilla societies, the dominant male often has anal sex with subservient males as well as females. This expresses the dominant and submissive nature of the gorilla hierarchy. (Subservient males present themselves.) It also kills a lot of gorillas very conveniently for the next dominant male who isn’t infected yet. That may be where male homophobia comes from — fear of death by infection thousands of years ago.2


  1. Unit normal distribution applies, with females generally being more sensitive in the nipples, and with many persons being too sensitive in the feet and toes (ticklish). The whole body is sensitive to touch, and some people-suits may be especially sensitive or insensitive in other areas.
  2. This may be one possible reason why Cro-Magnon man survived and Neanderthal man did not. A particularly nasty sexually transmitted disease in that time period would have affected both. Some scientists think the HIV virus that causes AIDS was originally a monkey or gorilla disease. The Neanderthal may have been more “apelike” than the Cro-Magnon.

Learning From the Pros


There are three things you can learn from the pros:

  1. Make sure the genitals and whatever else is going to be involved in sex are clean. That helps avoid aerobic bacteria and parasites.
  2. Make sure there are no open wounds or sores anyplace where anaerobic parasites could transfer from person to person. (The modern prostitute looks for chancre sores associated with syphilis or herpes sores in the genital area.1)

    While most people will notice wounds or sores on the genitals, many forget that wounds and sores can occur inside the mouth where you can’t see them. Digestive saliva doesn’t mean a thing if those little anaerobic parasites can get into your blood stream through an open wound or sore before they can be digested. The same thing applies to wounds or open sores on the skin anywhere.
  3. The anus is always an open wound because it tears instead of stretching. The pros charge extra and require more protection than usual.

  1. Circumcision makes it much easier to detect sores on the penis. The prevention of sexually transmitted diseases was one of the prime reasons circumcision became customary in some ancient societies. It was also one of the primary reasons for the sequestering of women since there was no easy way to detect certain sexually transmitted diseases inside the vagina.

A Really Bad Idea

Some of the things discussed here are really bad ideas. They might even be deadly to people who don’t understand what they have read and how to apply that knowledge.

Remember, it’s not the Community’s business to protect you from your own stupidity. It’s to the Community’s advantage if stupid people eliminate themselves from the gene pool.

Catholic Girls Have More Fun


Some Catholic girls do have more fun!1 They have mastered every possible way to have orgasms without having children or catching a sexually transmitted disease. Most of those ways involve both participants doing clever things with hands and movements of the whole body. Condoms are useful for more than preventing conception and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).2 There are ways to use condoms to prevent making a mess. Condoms, together with thin pads can keep those nasty stains off your clothes. Different mindsets call this “heavy petting” or “mutual masturbation;” or worse.

  2. Condoms were originally made of sheep intestine. One of the diseases that modern latex condoms help prevent is syphilis, a microscopic anaerobic parasite that is common only to sheep and humanity. It makes you wonder if syphilis was first spread by ancient condoms made from diseased sheep, or by diseased ancient sheep-fuckers.

Jacking In


You could call the control room inside the head, looking out the eye-windows, the “bridge” of the people-suit, or the main control port of the people-suit. If you use that analogy, there is a secondary diagnostic and maintenance port, down between the legs of the people suit — opposite the head. This secondary control port is present on both the Peter Pan and the Wendy models, but is implemented slightly differently on each model.

So the number of a people-suit is six, not five, for either model. The first point refers to the head and the sixth point refers to the sex organs. It doesn’t matter what the sex is, because the reference is not to the equipment, but to the secondary control port. Two arms, two legs, two control ports. Nature likes mirrors. The body is not only mirrored side-to-side, but also top-to-bottom. It’s just that the top-to-bottom mirror grew up on the other side of the tracks in a carnival funhouse.

The body is a child’s jumping jack and the 3-dimensional Cross of the Elements. It is balance between all things. Two arms, two legs, two control ports.

Tune Ups


Ground first. Use whatever method is convenient. It is probably easier to do this sitting or lying down at first so you can close your eyes. You can eventually learn to do this while walking with your eyes open.

Close your eyes and feel your body.1 Visualize your body electrique superimposed upon your body materiel. Bring the electric spark level up to bright. Systematically, look for dark spots. Look at your toes, feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, hips, belly, and waist. Look at your fingers, hands, wrists, forearms, elbows, upper arms, shoulders, and chest. Look at your neck, the back of your head, your forehead, eyes, nose, and mouth. If you find any dark spots, you need to heal yourself. Here is one technique that’s useful:

Imagine2 a metronome ticking each second. There are four distinct ticks followed by a four “ping” chime3 that fades out slowly, reaching a brief silence just before the next tick.4

  1. On the first tick, imagine a tiny, tiny ball of changing light slowly growing brighter in the center of your chest. This tiny ball of glowing light throws off bright white sparks like a sparkler.
  2. On the second tick, let the light become brighter and whiter, sparking more intensely, straining to be free.
  3. On the third tick, switch your mind from color to black and white to reinforce the light and make it pure white against a pure black background.
  4. On the fourth tick, switch your mind back to color and hold the pure white light.
  5. With the “ping,” let the light burst outward in a growing shell that travels along the fading echo and burns away all darkness.

    You may feel a mild electric “snap” at the end of the ping, just before the next tick, as the outward traveling shell of light completely fills your body.

Of course, this isn’t going to work at healing for everybody (unit normal distribution problem). For this particular exercise, it really does help if you believe in it and practice it.


  1. With some practice, you will be able to do this with your eyes open so that you can continue reading.
  2. Or listen to.
  3. Pick any note you like. Change it to a different note whenever you feel like it.
  4. Think of the “ping” and fading echo of the SONAR in a World War II submarine movie.

Slimy Green Ectoplasm


Now isn’t this a whole lot more pleasant than that slimy green ectoplasm stuff that all those weirdoes seem to prefer in the old movies?

With your eyes closed, you picture yourself as thousands of golden-green sparkles outlining the tactile presence of your body. You translate your sense of touch into a glowing image.1

What you’re doing here is reconstructing missing data by translating adjacent, synchronized channels. You’re using your sense of touch to generate visual data that you would normally associate with the tactile awareness data. If you tweak the translation slightly, you can make yourself have any shape you want. If you tweak the translation of sound and smell slightly, you can make any background and situation you desire.

The trick lies in how you use your senses:

It’s not real; you just use your mind and pretend.2


  1. In order for this to work consistently, you must have some color in mind that has meaning for you in this context. Golden-green is the color of Air or Mind. You might also try Fire or Will, orange (red and yellow) sparkles, Water or Love, blue sparkles, and Earth or Body, red-violet sparkles.

And Now, Narcissa?


Now about that Anima or Animus that is the person you would be if you were the “opposite” sex without changing your sexually biased thoughts or adjusting your personality — the person that you think you would find most attractive.1 Beware! It’s dangerously seductive! It is the erotic image you’d most like to see, reflected in the mirror, while you masturbate.


  1. It finds you just as attractive as you find it. If you actually adjusted your perceptions to the perceptions of the opposite sex, this wouldn’t usually be the case.

Superimposing Fantasy


Orgasms and some psychoactive drugs allow fantasy to be superimposed on reality. This is the basis of all forms of addiction — superimposing a higher payoff (more pleasant perhaps) fantasy over a lower payoff (or less pleasant) reality. This is what the con artists and the drug-sellers and the sex sellers and the politicians and the priests sell. They sell pleasant masturbation dreams.

Except, sometimes, when it’s bad enough that you have to deny reality, they just sell dreams to get you through the night. You just have to understand in advance that it’s a one-way trip on the express train to hell with no return ticket.

Beware the Seal of Solomon

As you wander around inside your mind, and get to know your anima and/or animus, you will eventually see this radiant silver colored thing1 that looks something like this:

I can’t describe it accurately in the number of dimensions we share. The Seal of Solomon is basically the cross of the elements with some extra lines thrown in that seem to divide the cross into two tetrahedrons, point-to-point, and then twist around to interlock with mirrored spheres at each endpoint between the dimensions. The lines of light joining the elemental spheres are double helixes of double helixes, and each sphere reflects a smaller mirror image of the entire structure. The entire figure curves around inside itself in a crystalline maze. It is a container that is the heart of a jewel,2 and within the Seal of Solomon lives Shadow, the “I Am Not” that defines the “I Am.”

The Seal of Solomon is a mental trap that we use to keep things hidden from ourselves. It is a secret room inside a crystal jewel with no doorways in or out. Whatever we put in the Seal of Solomon can’t get out again unless we let it out. The Seal of Solomon is all doors to Shadow, and none.

The Seal of Solomon is a mental trap that we use to keep things hidden from ourselves. It is a secret room inside a crystal jewel with no doorways in or out. Whatever we put in the Seal of Solomon can’t get out again unless we let it out. The Seal of Solomon is all doors to Shadow, and none.

This is one of those things you might really not want to know.

People don’t change until the price of not changing becomes too high.

People will do almost anything to avoid changing because of the hidden agenda. What people do instead of changing is to substitute new and different methods of acting out the same old attitudes.

To actually change the outcome, the attitude has to change. Otherwise, it’s just substitute behavior that leads to the same old place.

To actually change behavior, you have to travel through Shadow.

There are myriad ways into Shadow. All of the major religions and all of the major mental therapies work for some people. None of the major religions and none of the major mental therapies works for all people.1 (That’s why new ones are born every minute.)

If you keep looking, you’ll eventually find a way into Shadow. Whether or not you ever find a way out of Shadow depends on the strength of your own identity.

No one can make this trip for you. You can make this trip for no one except yourself. There are no shortcuts for the lazy, no inside tips for the speculator.

Strange Things


Unit Normal Curve

If you’ve had time to explore your people-suit, you know that strange things happen when some characteristic is too far out on the edge of the curve. Nature tries to make as many varied combinations as possible, so that some will survive if the biosystem, environment, or social system changes. It is a random statistical approach to survival of the species.1 It also explains why we have geniuses and monsters — nature is hedging every bet, every possible way. Nature is also betting that the geniuses will find a way to tame the monsters — otherwise, nature will have to déjà vu all over again down a different primrose path.


  1. This is marking on a curve with a vengeance. It does not, however, conflict with the concept of an omniscient god making decisions as to who gets which mark.

Acquired Characteristics

Since this loss of tail was an acquired characteristic, it was not passed on to their offspring.1 Pscientists are still working on breeding a tailless mouse.2

Sometimes, children learn things from their parents.


  1. Actually, it is passed on because having a bobbed tail has become fashionable in some mouse communities. Sociopathic parents do it to their children. That’s why you want sociopaths out of the role model pool as well as out of the gene pool.

Sociopathy


Sometimes by inherited genetics, sometimes by in-utero abuse,1 and sometimes by childhood training,2 there are people who are monsters unwilling to keep the Covenants of Community.

The Community takes care of those who are unable — those who do not have the ability to keep the Covenants of Community, and are not a danger to themselves or others.

Monsters are people with a specific kind of broken mind: monsters have no conscience. Monsters won’t take responsibility for their own actions — they always blame someone else, they even blame god or the devil for their own crimes. Monsters don’t care how they treat other people because it’s never their own fault.

We call this kind of monster a sociopath. Sociopaths will not keep the Covenants of Community because they don’t take responsibility for the consequences of breaking the Covenants. They don’t understand the cause and effect of their own behavior that separates infants from children.

The Random Statistical Approach to God


You have billions of cells in your body. To every one of those cells, You are the God that brings them a good harvest or a bad harvest every day. They look up to You and pray to You for their own well-being. You aren’t aware of the individual cells in Your body, but You are aware of their general state of well-being.

Think of yourself as a single cell in the body of a god.

The Random Statistical Approach to Survival of the Species


Nature makes every possible variation in the hope that some variation will have all the necessary traits to survive. Most of the variations are close to the center of the unit normal distribution, but there are always a few at four-sigma out — just-in-case.1

In this regard, you could say that all men and women are of equal potential value in the eyes of nature.

In practice, just as in your own body:

Of course, some of these could be the result of collateral damage as a consequence of the mutation/mixing process.

The individual and the community are on opposite sides of the mirror. Neither the individual nor the community can exist without the other. It’s a Yin/Yang situation that can only be resolved down the middle.


  1. Variations beyond four sigma are usually stillborn. It weeds the most extreme variations out of the gene pool — unless changed environment has made that variation a survival trait.
  2. Protecting people from their own stupidity is always a bad idea. It skews the unit normal distribution towards de-evolution. If you can’t teach people to protect themselves, let them take themselves out of the gene pool.
